IMDB rating: 6.70 Plot: When Bond investigates the murders of three fellow agents, he soon finds himself a target, evading the vicious assassins as he closes in on the powerful Kananga (Yaphet Kotto). Known as “Mr. Big,” Kananga is coordinating a globally threatening scheme using tons of self-produced heroin. As Bond tries to unravel the mastermind’s plan, he meet Solitaire (Jane Seymour), the beautiful Tarot card reader whose magical gifts are crucial to the crime lord. Why Connery is not present in "On Her Majest Secret Service (1969) and "Living Let Die (1973)"?
I like George Lazenby and Roger Moore as 007s, but Sean Connery also a excellent 007 (less in "Diamonds Are Forever (1971)" and "Never Say Never Again" (1983)").
Connery once said the Bond stories were more and more about space, which bored him endlessly. The end of his contract was the one with Lazenby, and when Lazenby was fired over money, the studio pleaded and begged Sean to do one more, which he did (Diamonds are Forever). He gave all his Diamonds wages to charity. Then he did Never Say Never Again because he was broke and strapped for cash.
Then Roger Moore, who was Ian Fleming’s first pick, became available for Bond, and he took over.

He quit doing the James Bond thing because he felt he was being type cast. He wasnt getting offers to do other types of roles.

Connery was getting tired of playing the same thing over and over…so he dropped out.Even though he was and is the best Bond.
