Sherlock Holmes was EXCELLENT ! Downey’s portrayal of Holmes was pretty accurate if you’ve read the books.

As far as older films, I noticed someone mentioned "First Blood". Worth watching. The later Rambo movies just were too much over the top.

Its hard to pick something that is "edge of the seat" constantly without falling victim to a lull as every film does need a break in the action.

Gone in 60 seconds was good. (Original or remake.. You choose.)

The original Batman. Jack Nicholson’s portrayal of the Joker was simply outstanding and the film itself is visually stunning.

The remake of "The Blob" (1988) was horrifying, disturbing, and pretty graphic.

Mostly it depends on Genre and what you would be interested in seeing.

It was about this guy who is a spy but has to baby seat these kids because their dad was a scientist and a chip he made needed protection. Their dad died.

How does one get into the animation field?
I want to be able to create my own cartoons eventually. I love the unique worlds such as Cowboy Bebop, or Aeon Flux… and I want to know how to get a job like that.

I graduated from art college several years ago. AAC in the bayarea. If you don’t know anyone who’s in animation field, you can try to present your idea and art work to the teachers in art school. Most of teachers in my school are not professional educator but professional artist. Such as most teachers who is teaching animation may from the big film company. Some of them fly from LA to give us class everyweek.
I thought you may start from their if you go some good stuff. But if you really got some great stuff, be careful with who you deal with. We had sign the contract that all our works belong to school when we were. I have known there some teachers keep student’s idea become their own…

Superbowl party friend ate dog food chow?
Like I was at a friends superbowl party and he was a little sort on dip for the chips. One of my buddies said It’s okay I’ll make a run up to the store…and out of no were the guy that was hosting the party screamed from inside the kitcken "That wont be necessary I have some dip…that I totally forgot about!"

Later he says he doesn’t always use this dip because of some sort of social stigma attached to it but in a pinch it’ll do. We all gathered around the man with much delight as he pulls out this can from his pantry.

He put it on the table and their were dog prints all over it… I thought that was a little strange..it wasn’t until he opened the can and the smell feeled the kitcken that we all realized that it was animal grade dog chow..crys and laughter were in the background than we all watched in horror as he licked the lid clean with a face of such pleasure and delight his eyes opened wider and wider with each lick.

Than he began scoping the dog food out of the can and into a dipping bowl. He all told us don’t be shy here you have a try and pointed the bowl toward me as he crunched down on another chip filled
with dog chow. The smell was really bad but I didn’t want to be a rude guest…I almost gagged but managed to swallow the chip and dog chow mixture.

I couldn’t believe he likes this stuff I thought, he says that its healthier than guacamole or caso but I’m not so sure. He also says it gives him a lush coat which kinda creeped us all out.

It was a tough situation for us guys to be in, I mean what would you do if your best friend indulged in chow of the dog variety? Should I be scared right now?
